The League 1 season continued with the one game – but a big derby fixture – played during midweek.

Millwall’s – as a club and the fans’ – Christmas will be a little more enjoyable than it will for Charlton following the Lions’ win on Wednesday.

This rearranged meeting at the Den resulted in Neil Harris’ side running out 3-1 winners against rivals Charlton – meaning former MK Dons boss Karl Robinson is still awaiting a first win since being appointed.

Millwall’s three points saw the pressure eased on the boss and moved the Lions a little closer to a potential play-off push during the festive season and into the New Year – Charlton on the other hand have plenty of work to do in order for this themselves.

Points and bragging rights definitely belonged to Millwall on this occasion!
