Mon 7 Nov 2016 – FA Cup
Southport v Fleetwood 19:45

Swindon will have to see off non-league Eastleigh in a replay if they’ll not want to be subjected to an upset after the one-all draw on Friday.

With an upset something Oxford well and truly avoided when winning five-nil at Merstham. A battle of two non-league sides saw Braintree spank Eastbourne Borough seven-nil to move into round two.

Dover go into that round after holding Cambridge to a draw at the Abbey Stadium.

Things haven’t been that easy in League 1 for Charlton but they saw off the league leaders in this all League 1 side with a three-one win over Scunthorpe with the goals flowing at Dartford, who were beaten at home by Sutton United in a nine-goals encounter won six-three.

Another non-league side still in with a chance of an upset are Brackley after the held Gillingham to a two-all draw at Priestfield.

Leaders in League 2 are Plymouth with them into the second round after a two-one win at Mansfield with MK Dons’ League 1 struggles put to one side for an afternoon with a narrow three-two win over Spennymoor Town.

The 2008 FA Cup winners, and runners-up in 2010, made a first round exit when Portsmouth were disappointingly beaten two-one at Fratton Park by Wycombe with fellow League 2 side Yeovil held to a draw at Huish Park by Solihull Moors.

On Sunday Blackpool overcome a tricky one against Kidderminster at Bloomfield Road with a two-nil win with Hartlepool also ensuring they wouldn’t suffer an upset with a three-nil Victoria Park road win over Stamford.

Notts County and Rochdale were both held by non-league side Boreham Wood and Maidstone United, respectively, but will now have the advantage in the replays.

Sheffield United’s progress into round two was secured with a six-nil thrashing of Leyton Orient at Bramall Lane with the goals also flowing at St Albans City but Carlisle, who remain unbeaten in League 2, went through after a five-three win.
