Millwall secured a win over Scunthorpe in the League 1 play-off second leg on Sunday.
A third-placed finish counted for nothing as Scunthorpe’s promotion bid ended in a five goal thriller at Glanford Park, Millwall edged out the Iron 3-2 to win by the same aggregate scoreline.
Ivan Toney had put Scunthorpe ahead but Steve Morison’s brace, a Lee Gregory goal sandwiched between, had Millwall three one up. Stephen Dawson’s 81st minute goal set up a tense finale, but the Lions held on.
