Millwall secured a 3-1 win over Charlton in League 1 on Wednesday.

The Millwall dominance in the south London derby meetings with Charlton continues. This latest win at the Den means the Lions’ last defeat was over 20 years ago.

Millwall struck twice in two minutes at the end of the first half to take a commanding lead into the half time break. Aiden O’Brien headed in a cross from Shaun Cummings to put the Lions ahead five minutes before the interval with Steve Morison adding to this minutes later.

Charlton did give themselves hope when Nicky Ajose pulled a goal back in the second half but Millwall weren’t denied as Morison’s second on the hour sealed the points to move the Lions to within four points of the play-offs – ending successive defeats too.
