Millwall were beaten by Bolton in League 1 on Saturday.

Bolton took an early lead through Vela with the post saving Millwall from going two-down when Trotters captain Jay Spearing headed against the woodwork.

Millwall did have the ball in the back of the net but Liam Trotter’s effort was disallowed for offside with Bolton’s win secured when Tom Thorpe headed in from a Spearing corner before the hour to end the Lions’ five-match winning run and extend the run without a win at Bolton, which dates back to 1968.
