Millwall are on the verge of completing all the necessary paperwork in order to announce the signing of Shaun Williams.
The versatile 27 year old will join us from MK Dons, and he can play in either the centre of defence, or midfield.
He joins us for an undisclosed fee and he was their Player of the Season last year, and is set to put pen to paper on a two and a half year deal at The Den.
So far this season he has made 33 appearances for his former club, and scored ten goals.
He’s a former Republic of Ireland U23 international, and previously in his career he has debuted in the Europa League. He is a former Professional Footballers’ Association of Ireland Young Player of the Year, and was nominated for the senior award back in 2010.
He will be Ian Holloway’s third signing of the window, and should the paperwork go through in time today, he will be in contention to make his Millwall debut when we face Sheffield Wednesday on Tuesday.
Since joining MK Dons from Ireland side Sporting Fingal back in March 2011, he has gone on to make 137 appearances across all competitions in England, and scored a total of 25 goals.
