Ahead of the weekend’s fixture against Bournemouth in the FA Cup third round tie, Millwall confirmed that Paul Rooney had extended his time out with Torquay United.

The 19 year old defender joined Torquay last month and has featured four times for them so far in the National League. Having impressed during his month stay the club applied for an extension to the deal and Millwall have accepted another 28 days out for the youngster as he continues to develop and builds his experience.

Joining him in a loan spell away from the club is Canadian Under 20 international winger Kris Twardek who last week also secured himself 28 days in the National League – but with Braintree Town.

The 19 year old heads to them on a 28 day youth loan and it comes on the back of his debut earlier in the campaign in our EFL Trophy victory over West Bromwich Albion at The Den – he also featured against Luton Town and Wycombe Wanderers in the competition.

Tardek made his debut for them last weekend in their game against Chester.

In total it means we have five players away from the club at the moment on loan deals, as including the above two we also have Harry Girling, Sid Nelson and Gregg Wylde out for spells.
