Millwall have today agreed to let midfielder Josh Wright go out on loan to League One Leyton Orient on an emergency deal.

He is set to move to the club until January 2nd 2014.

The 24 year old moved to The Den in November 2011 on a free transfer and has gone on to make 38 starts, with a further 11 from the bench, scoring once. However he has only figured twice so far this season in our opening league game against Yeovil which we lost, and then the Capital One Cup win against AFC Wimbledon, both of which were back in August.

With such limited playing time and not figuring in gaffer Steve Lomas’ plans, getting him some regular first team action will be of benefit to us should he return in form and work his way into the gaffers plans, or of course with a view to putting him in the shop window for January.

Russell Slade’s side are currently second in League one and he will join them in time to go straight into their squad for the game at the weekend against Swindon Town.

There is a familiar face in the Orient set up in the shape of Shaun Batt who joined them permanently last summer.
