Manager Ian Holloway has said he wants Millwall to take all three points against Blackpool and put us into double figures ahead of the coming international break.

We host struggling Blackpool at The Den this weekend and will be looking to turn around our home form that has seen us lose two of the three games so far with defeats to Rotherham and Southampton in the Cup.

Speaking to the official site ahead of the game the gaffer said.

‘On Saturday there were a few players who looked a bit jaded. But against Southampton there was much to be encouraged about, and a number of those who features that night have certainly given me food for thought. The important thing is, I believe in all my players and I believe in the way we’re trying to play, which incidentally was a little bit different in midweek and we’d only really practiced for one training session. Overall they are getting it and the more we play, the better we’ll become at it.’

Holloway goes on to say that whilst that development will come in time, what matters in the moment though is getting back to winning ways and picking up a positive result now because he wants to go into the break with the confidence boost a win brings, and he knows a return of ten points from five games isn’t too shabby a start to the season and he feels that would be an ‘acceptable’ return at this point.

Despite our last two losses, he also added that the players were still in good spirits though and they couldn’t wait for the game having trained hard and well, and he just hopes that translates into the three points we all want.
