Millwall are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week’s action.

The performance by Chris Taylor in the one nil victory over Sheffield United at the weekend at The Den was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we’ll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Taylor was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice – the FL blurb read.

‘Taylor returned to Millwall last week on loan from Blackburn Rovers, and had an immediate impact in the Lions’ 1-0 win over Sheffield United. The 29-year-old, who was at the Den for the 2012/13 season, scored the winner after just two minutes to keep up Millwall’s Sky Bet League 1 promotion charge.’

It’s always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Taylor for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the win.

Full Team:

Jonathan Mitchell (Luton Town), Marcus Olsson (Derby County), Shane Duffy (Blackburn Rovers), Matt Preston (Walsall), Callum O’Dowda (Oxford United), Ollie Clarke (Bristol Rovers), Lee Tomlin (Bristol City), Chris Taylor (Millwall), Lucas Akins (Burton Albion), Ben Williamson (Cambridge United), Sullay Kaikai (Shrewsbury Town).

Manager – David Wagner (Huddersfield Town).
