Manager Neil Harris has previewed this weekend’s clash against Swindon Town and he knows three points will be vital to our Play Off push.
With the midweek three all draw with Rochdale, Harris knows that anything less than a maximum return will be unacceptable given our stated aims for the campaign and we can’t let all our hard work go to waste now.
Speaking to the official site in his pre game press conference, Harris knew how important it was that we made that 60 point mark but now it’s about kicking on ensuring we take that Play Off spot and don’t simply reflect on a ‘nearly’ campaign.
‘It’s a hurdle to get over the 60 point mark. However, it’s another hurdle entirely to reach our target of being in the play-offs. After two draws it means our trip to Swindon is a massive, massive game for us.’
Harris went on to say that there’s no doubting our 16 game unbeaten run in League One is anything other than ‘brilliant’ but as we hit the crunch point of the campaign and the run in we can’t rest on that as there’s plenty of work left to do.
‘We have to look at the 16 game unbeaten run and say ‘brilliant,’ but now we have to go looking for victory at Swindon.’
Goalkeeper Jordan Archer made a successful return to the pitch in the three all draw with Rochdale and it’s expected he will retain his place for the trip to the County Ground.
