Millwall were beaten by Southend in League 1 on Saturday.

Southend went into a sixth-minute lead when McGlashan’s cross was finished off, via a deflection, by Mooney but Millwall did level up before half time through O’Brien.

After getting away with losing a man, with Martin instantly taken off, Millwall did go behind against when McLaughlin scored within minutes of the second half restart.

Millwall’s defeat was secured when O’Neill scored three-minutes from time to seal Southend’s first win of the season.
