Manager Steve Lomas has plenty of striking options for the game at Ewood Park, but we have a host of midfielders out still.
Richard Chaplow, Nicky Bailey and Lee Martin all remain ruled out after also missing the victory over Wigan Athletic in our last match, so the team is likely to be similar in all honesty.
Liam Trotter, Jimmy Abdou and Guy Moussi will be competing for the middle positions, with Liam Feeney and Martyn Woolford looking for a wide start.
This will also be Martyn Waghorn’s final appearance of his loan spell from Leicester, and Lomas has made no secret of his desire to try and do something in January about that.
One player very unlikely to return is James Henry as Wolverhampton Wanderers gaffer – some may know him – Kenny Jackett has admitted that they are quite fair down the line in terms of arranging a permanent deal for him when the window re-opens in January.
Prior to picking up a groin injury last month, 24 year old Henry had made nine appearances for his loan club, scoring three times.
