Millwall or Barnsley to win in the League 1 play-off final on Sunday at Wembley?
Then again, which is more than possible of course, it could be a draw! But it will be resolved one way or the other though, even if it takes a penalty shootout….
A winner takes all match will not only see a Championship place taken up but also the improved finances that go with it!
90-minutes (perhaps extra time and penalties) is all that stands between Millwall and an instant second tier return. Having overcome Bradford over two-legs a win over Barnsley on Sunday will do it in this 3pm kick-off.
Sounds simple in theory doesn’t it! Not that it will be.
At times Millwall threatened automatic promotion, whereas at others we flirted with missing the top six altogether but overall the play-offs were always the least we looked like securing and that instant return after relegation last season will be all anyone remembers whatever way we manage this – if we can….
The mindset will be ‘to win’ if this isn’t the case why are we going! Clearly the aim for the Lions is to win, however we manage this, to get back into the Championship!
But will this happen?
