Manager Ian Holloway has said he’s hoping for a repeat performance tonight in the Capital One Cup when we face Wycombe Wanderers, given how we opened our league season against Leeds last weekend.

Speaking to the official site the gaffer also said he was looking forward to hopefully see us continue our unbeaten run and make ten games in a row following on from how we ended our last campaign.

‘I will probably make a few changes because some of the lads who played on Saturday will need a bit of a rest, and at the same time there are others in the squad who deserve a chance.’

Holloway goes on to say that what he’s hoping to build in terms of the overall squad is a consensus that players can be switched around without it affecting the starting eleven because everybody knows their individual jobs and can slot in perfectly whenever they are called upon.

As for the performance and the game itself though, he wants a win, simple as that, and he wants us to win in the same style and intensity that we did in the season opener against Leeds.

‘We will have to produce a performance of similar quality and intensity in this game. Wycombe also make an excellent start to their season and I’m sure Gareth Ainsworth will have them fired up to come here and try to perform a giant killing.’
