The Football League have now announced the Match Day officials that will take charge of the EFL Cup tie between Reading and Millwall this Tuesday.

Match Day referee Breakspear has officiated four games in 2017/18, showing 17 yellow cards and one red card.

He took in 40 games in 2016/17 with a return of 165 yellow cards and ten red cards.

His highest card count this season was in the game between Swindon Town and Bury where he showed ten yellow cards.

He took in 37 matches in 2015-16 and in those games, across all competitions and football divisions, he handed out a total of 142 yellow cards and four red cards.

He was most card happy in the match between Colchester United and Gillingham on September 19 with a total of seven yellows being shown. He’s also shown six yellow cards on a number of occasions.

Let`s hope it`s not another repeat and more of the players edge closer to automatic bans.
