The Football League have now announced the Match Day officials that will take charge of the game between Leeds United and Millwall this Saturday.

Leeds United host Millwall on Saturday January 20 for the game at Elland Road and the match carries a 3pm kick off.

Match Day referee Coote has officiated 21 games in 2017/18, showing 75 yellow cards and two red cards so far.

He took in 39 games in 2016/17 with a return of 127 yellow cards and seven red cards.

His highest card count that year was nine yellows in the game between Brentford and Burton Albion.

He took in 30 matches in 2015-16 and in those games, across all competitions and football divisions, he handed out a total of 111 yellow cards and five red cards.

He was most card happy in the match between Ipswich Town and Cardiff City in October with eight yellows being shown. He also showed six yellows and two reds on two occasions.

Coote, a former Select Group assistant referee, Coote was appointed as an EFL referee in 2010. He has officiated at Wembley four times, and took charge of the FA Vase Final and League One Play-Off Final in 2014. As part of the PGMO exchange programme he has visited Japan, refereeing two senior matches and acting as fourth official in other games. A talented cricketer, David played cricket for Notts at various youth age groups, before committing to his refereeing career.
