The October nominations for the Sky Bet League 1 Player of the Month Award are:
Adam Armstrong (Coventry City) – striker
The 18-year-old continues to impress with his composure. His willingness to take shots early brought two goals in the 3-0 win over Shrewsbury Town, while his dancing feet and sublime turn accounted for the second of his pair against Peterborough United.
Reece Burke (Bradford City) – central defender
Mature beyond his years, the 19-year-old loanee has settled instantly in West Yorkshire, bringing an assurance to a Bradford defence which conceded just three goals in five games. Intelligent and pacy with an uncanny calmness.
Aiden O’Brien (Millwall) – striker
The young Irishman, who plays with a permanent smile on his face, opened his bag of mercurial tricks in October. Able to go past defenders with ease, he scored three goals while switching positions between attack and the wing.
Jon Taylor (Peterborough) – midfielder
In a Posh side which scored 16 goals in six games Taylor stood out for his energy as much as the quality of his long-range shooting. Two delightful goals against Millwall and another at Swindon Town complimented his ball-carrying ability.
Winners will be announced on Friday November 6th 2015.
