Aiden O’Brien has said Millwall simply have to keep their standards high when the international break returns and we restart our Championship campaign.

Heading into the international lull, Millwall took an emphatic four nil victory over Norwich City and O’Brien knew it was richly deserved after the performances we’d put in as he felt we’d certainly had a ‘few unlucky results’ so far this year.

After registering our first three points of the campaign following two draws and two defeats, O’Brien told the official site that Norwich showed just how good we could be at this level so it was now down to each and every player to repeat that as often as they can between now and the end of the season.

‘We knew a win like that was coming. We have been creating a lot of chances every game but that final finish touch hasn’t quite been there – but everything just clicked against Norwich. We will always try to impose ourselves on the opposition and take the game to them. Now it’s about continuing that when we come back next week.’

When the international break ends, we return to action against high flying Wolverhampton Wanderers and O’Brien knows it will be a tough affair given their start to this year’s Championship campaign, but it’s a challenge he relishes.

‘They are a good side but there is nothing for us to fear. We have proved that we can compete at this level and it’s about staying on track because we have some big games coming up. We have a week to rest and see our families but then we are straight back into it. It’s a big test but if our performances are consistent then there is no reason why we can’t be successful this season.’
