Millwall’s Aiden O’Brien has been called up by Republic of Ireland manager Martin O’Neill for the coming international break.

The next break of the 2017/18 campaign in November sees the Republic of Ireland face a World Cup Play Off double header against Denmark. The first leg takes place away on November 11 with the home tie three days later.

Having named a provision 34 man squad the other week, James McCarthy, Richard Keogh and Sean Maguire drop out with injury, whilst David McGoldrick, Alan Browne, Daryl Horgan and Jonny Hayes are also dropped.

David Meyler makes the cut, although he is suspended for the first leg.

Defenders:
