Aiden O’Brien has been called up by Republic of Ireland manager Martin O’Neill for the coming international break.

The next break of the 2017/18 campaign in November sees the Republic face Denmark in a 2018 World Cup play off game.

Everton’s Jason McCarthy comes back into the group for the provisional squad after missing out with a knee injury, but Jonathan Walters misses out having suffered an injury with Burnley. Southampton’s Shane Long also comes back into the group.

Aston Villa striker Scott Hogan and Millwall forward Aiden O’Brien retain their places after maiden call ups in October.
