Striker Steve Morison has said that Millwall have to show the same kind of fight and character as we have done of late if we want to get the result we want against Middlesbrough.
Speaking to the official site having grabbed a goal to help us to a draw in our last match against Watford, Morison said that the character we showed to come back twice in the game needs to be repeated so we can pick up the points that we want.
Especially as Middlebrough will be a high themselves having won four successive matches.
‘We showed great character to twice get back into the game against Watford. Even when they scored to go 2-1 up we though ‘there’s five minutes to go, we’re not done yet’. That proved to be the case and it was great character to score an equaliser when we did to get what was a good point in the end.’
Morison goes on to say that we are hitting form at the right time though with our recent results, but we simply have to keep that going as our next match is absolutely key to our hopes of pulling away and a victory and another three points would really do us the world of good.
‘It’s important now that we keep plugging away, keep ourselves fit and keep doing what we’re doing. It looks like our luck has changed a little bit because we’ve been playing like this for a while and it just hasn’t been going our way. We’ve hopefully turned the corner now and can carry on with this form to get the points we need.’
A win for us, and results going our way could see us lift quite a few places in the table, so it’s all to play for, the players will just have to battle for it.
