Millwall are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week’s action.

The performance by Steve Morison in the three two victory over Scunthorpe United at the weekend at Glanford Park was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we’ll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Morison was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice – the FL blurb read.

‘Morison drew a blank in the first leg of Millwall`s Play-Off Semi-Final with Scunthorpe United, but he stepped up in the second leg to fire the Lions to Wembley. The 33-year-old netted the equaliser on Sunday evening, before making one and scoring the other in a thrilling 3-2 win at Glanford Park. Next stop, Wembley.’

It’s always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Morison for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course taking the aggregate win to reach Wembley in the Play Offs.
