On loan striker Steve Morison has confirmed he won’t be returning to Leeds in the summer, but for now his sole focus is in helping Millwall get on a run of results following our unexpected victory over Derby County.

Speaking to the official site as Millwall prepare for the game against Blackpool, Morison admitted he wasn’t going to be returning to Leeds as things stand because he knows he’s not in the manager’s thoughts, and despite being told not to return to The Den he’s looking to end his initial spell back with us on a much higher note than he’s had so far.

‘We need to go on a run. We need to go, four, five unbeaten and that will shoot us up the table. We’ve got a good happy squad and a manager who believes in us and a manager we believe in. If we keep putting the performances in like we did at Derby then results will turn.’

Morison goes on to heap praise on Holloway for the way he treats the squad and the way he’s given them confidence, but reiterates that they need to show that now on the pitch by picking up the results we need.

Blackpool will have an edge to it obviously being Ian Holloway’s former club, so Morison jokes that the gaffer will no doubt get a bit of stick during the 90 minutes, but it’s down to the players to make sure he comes away with a smile on his face, as if they make that happen, we will all have won.
