Neil Harris has talked about Sid Nelson and Aiden O’Brien being ‘integral’ parts to his plans for 2015-16 and goalkeeper David Forde is apparently speaking with Fulham.
With Nelson and O’Brien recently signing new deals, and Harris also saying he believed deals for Jimmy Abdou and Fred Onyedinma being very close now, he told the official site.
‘Firstly I just want to say how delighted I am that Sid and Aiden have signed their deals. They are integral parts of this football club both short and long-term. Both of them were really keen to sign new contracts and commit their futures to the club. They deserved new contracts and they also deserve the opportunity to be in the team again next season.’
The South London Press have David Forde reportedly in talks with Fulham as he looks for an exit this summer following our relegation from the Championship last year.
Wouldn’t be a great surprise to see the 35 year old Republic of Ireland international move on at this stage really.
We are also being linked with defender Joe Martin, and it’s said the 26 year old left back as now completed his medical and agreed personal terms with Neil Harris and the club.
Having come through Tottenham Hotspur’s youth ranks, he went on to play for Blackpool before moving to Gillingham in 2010. In his time with them he’s played in 179 games for them, scoring eight times, and his time with Blackpool gave him an additional 26 appearances in his career.
We are also being linked with Bradford striker James Hanson.
Youngster Mahlon Romeo signed a one year contract with the club last month, and the right back has now been called up to the Antigua & Barbuda squad for their upcoming two legged 2018 World Cup Qualifier against St Lucia.
