Millwall have today confirmed that the deal with kit supplier Macron will come to an end at the end of the season, and a new deal has been signed with Errea.
The Macron deal ends in May, and a brief statement from the club read.
‘Everyone at the club would like to thank Macron for five years of outstanding and professional service and wish the company all the very best for the future.’
A short time after that confirmation came through, Millwall released a secondary statement confirming Errea as the new kit supplier for the 2016-17 season onwards.
The Italian global sports brand will be the new kit supplier for the next few seasons.
Founded in 1988, Millwall believe their own growth should match Millwall’s as we go into a new rebuild under manager Neil Harris, and Alan Williams, Commercial Director at the club, told the official site.
‘We are very pleased to welcome Errea during what is an exciting period of progression both on and off the pitch at the club. Errea have proven themselves to be one of the most innovative and customer-focused sportswear brands of the modern age. We believe that Millwall fans will love the new kits and also an impressive retail offering in the Lions Store.’
Errea’s Fabrizio Taddei added.
‘We are delighted to be starting this partnership with Millwall. Not only are they a club with a long history and passionately dedicated fans, but they are also in a very exciting period of development and we are looking forward to being an important part of that. When creating the new kits we worked very closely with the club because it was important for all of us that they should be fresh and modern while always taking into account the heritage of Millwall. We hope that the fans will love what we have done.’
