After weeks of intense deliberations at MO Headquarters, a decision was finally reached on Sunday evening to renew Laird’s sponsorship for another 12 months.
Contact was consequently made with the club’s Commercial Department to complete the deal, which was rubber stamped by the Football Association on Tuesday morning.
Marc, who joined The Lions from Manchester City on a free transfer in January, was left speechless by the news and therefore unable to comment.
The generous members who stumped up the funds required for this transfer have been automatically entered into an exclusive prize draw, which is expected to take place within the next week.
