Following Millwall’s five three victory over League Two promotion chasers Plymouth Argyle in the Area Quarter Finals of the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy our performance has been nominated for the Team of the Round Award.

With goals coming from Lee Gregory and Aiden O’Brien on the day, we find ourselves nominated for the gong alongside Yeovil Town and Morecambe.

The winner will be announced in the coming days and they will receive paint for a club project as well as a trophy.

Richard Mazurkiewicz, marketing manager for Johnstone’s Trade, explained of the nomination.

‘To score five goals in any game is a fine achievement and Millwall deserve great credit for doing so against a Plymouth side doing exceptionally well this season. Millwall, Yeovil and Morecambe all produced results worthy of winning the Team of the Round award and the judges will have a very difficult decision deciding on one winner.’

Millwall face manager Neil Harris’ former side Southend United in the Area Semi Finals now.
