A good talking point, a ranking of clubs by crowd, fanbase, trophies and league position. Millwall in 49th place? Yes or no?!

Thought this made for an interesting talking point on Vital Football !

The Daily Mail Online… have done a list of what they believe to be the 50 biggest clubs in the land…I’m sure some will agree and some will disagree!

You can also see the all time top flight league table via: www.myfootballfacts.com

However SportsMail took into account more. They looked at:

1) Crowds, both now and historically
2) Global fanbase looking at social media platforms
3) Trophies
4) Average league finish since the 1888/89 season
5) Player quality
6) Income

I’m not sure there can be that many arguments – we at Vital Football stand to be corrected – on the top really?

Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City, Everton, Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa. For a start all but Manchester City are the only ever presents in the Premiership and a few have pulled right up in the ranks thanks to massive money spends during the Prem years.

Then comes Newcastle and Sunderland, where some other clubs might start saying, hang on, what about us?!

So, come on…. do you feel you are there or thereabouts in the right place on the list? If not, why not?!?!?!
