Millwall have tonight announced the capture of Yeovil Town midfielder Ed Upson.

The player joins us for an undisclosed fee, and the 24 year old has put pen to paper on a two and a half year contract at The Den.

A few hours ago he successfully passed a medical, and sorted out personal terms.

The player started life at Ipswich Town working his way through their youth levels, and had two spells out on loan with Stevenage and Barnet. He however failed to break into their first team, and moved on to Yeovil in the summer of 2010, and played a huge role in their promotion to the Championship this season via the League One Play Offs last year.

In total for Yeovil he has played in 148 games across all competitions for them and scored 17 goals. This season he has played 28 times, and scored five goal – one of which came on the opening day of the season in their victory over us on home soil.

Upson is Holloway’s fourth signing this window, and he will watch his new club from the stands as we take on Reading this weekend. He will then join up with the team for training on Monday with an eye to being involved when we face Burnley.
