Millwall overcame the challenge of Bradford City earlier this afternoon at Wembley in the League One Play Off Final and will now return to the Championship for the season of 2017/18.
Veteran striker Steve Morison again proved his worth to the side as he steered in Lee Gregory’s flick on in the 85th minute to secure the one nil victory at the national stadium.
A tense and tight affair saw Bradford have their chances in the game as well, but after suffering relegation a few seasons ago and having the Play Off Final heartbreak at this stage last campaign, Millwall put that behind them to put us back into the second tier of football for the campaign.
They’ll no doubt be plenty of reaction soon from Neil Harris and the players on the interweb as the media get into gear but I guess most won’t see that until tomorrow as they toast the teams’ success.
