Steve Lomas has exercised Millwall’s option to recall Liam Feeney.
The player headed to Bolton on a three month deal, but as part of the agreement Millwall could recall him after 28 days, and we have now done so.
During his short term at Bolton Wanderers, the 26 year old has made three starts and one appearance from the bench and helped pull then club off the bottom of the table as they are now on a run of four unbeaten games.
With Richard Chaplow and Lee Martin out injured for this weekend, the manager has decided to recall the player to provide cover as a naturally right sided player, and it’s expected he’ll go straight into the squad for the game against Reading.
There have been some words in the press over a permanent deal, and Bolton wanting to wait longer, and Millwall possibly calling him back early to try and force their hand, but I doubt we’ll know.
The payer is out of contract in the summer and following his recall Bolton manager Dougie Freedman told the press that he’s said to Liam that he will remain in his plans for when he can sign a pre contract agreement for the summer.
