The club’s board have announced that the remaining Millwall matches will be free to all in a bid to allow support to back their club in worrying times. Both on and off the pitch.

Despite MO feeling relegation won’t happen at all, we applaud the directors for finally realising that fans are needed in the ground rather than stuck at home. Millwall officials have stated there are two reasons for the free entry.

The first to get support and a full ground in the dying days of the season and secondly because of the global credit crisis, they believe £27.00 is an over whelming amount of money to pay out for a Division two game.

The free matches include, Gillingham, Leeds and Carlisle and depending on success, all pre season matches as well. In the summer the club will revise match day prices which are almost double that of season ticket prices and will look to bring prices down.

The club appear to feel charging Division One promotion push prices for a club facing relegation fights at the bottom of division two is not on stupidity on their part but also mugging the average supporter.

Millwall FC seem to finally understand that it doesn’t cost £27 to watch a film at the cinema.
