Millwall were beaten by Nottingham Forest in the League Cup on Tuesday.
Forest were ahead at half time when Paterson followed up a saved effort to open the scoring 10-minutes before the break.
A brilliant Williams lob on Forest ‘keeper Henderson from 50-yards with 13-minutes to play looked to have done enough to give Millwall extra time but Veldwijk fired home with three-minutes left to win it for the visitors.
