Manager Ian Holloway has brought in Leeds United midfielder Michael Tonge on a loan deal until the end of the season.

the 31 year old carries good experience at this level, and Holloway identified him as the man to bolster our midfield as we continue to look to get out of a relegation battle and move up the table.

He has made ten appearances for Leeds so far this season, but also comes in with experience from spells at Sheffield United and Stoke City.

He is our seventh signing in January so far, and it’s expected he will be in line to make his debut when we face Huddersfield at the weekend. As per the terms of his loan agreement though, he won’t be available for selection when we face Leeds.

In his career so far he has made in excess of 400 career appearances, the vast majority being starting appearances.
