The Football League have now announced the Match Day officials that will take charge of the game against West Bromwich Albion this Tuesday.

Millwall host West Bromwich Albion’s Under 23 side on Tuesday August 30 for the Football League Trophy/Checkatrade Trophy tie at The Den and the match carries a 7.45pm kick off.

Referee: Brendan Malone
Linesmen: Andrew Aylott and Declan Ford
Fourth Official: Paul Kelly

West Bromwich Albion are one of the 16 Category One Academy sides taking part in the competition this season on a trial basis.

Match Day referee Malone has officiated seven games in 2016/17 with a return of 25 yellow cards and one red card.

He took in 31 matches in 2015-16 and in those games, across all competitions and football divisions, he handed out a total of 80 yellow cards and six red cards.

He was most card happy in the match between Portsmouth and Accrington Stanley on September 5 with a total of seven yellows being shown. He matched that with Brentford and Charlton in March.

Let`s hope it`s not another repeat and more of our players edge closer to automatic bans.
