The Match Day referee has officiated ten games so far in 2016/17, with a return of 34 yellow cards and two red cards.

His highest card count so far this year was nine yellows in the game between Bury and Oxford United.

He took in 34 matches in 2015-16 and in those games, across all competitions and football divisions, he handed out a total of 80 yellow cards and two red cards.

He was most card happy in the match between Blackburn Rovers and Derby County on October 21 with a total of six yellows being shown. He followed that in his next game between Walsall and Gillingham with another six.

Let`s hope it`s not another repeat and more of our players edge closer to automatic bans.
