The Football League have now announced the Match Day officials that will take charge of the game against Barnsley this weekend.
Millwall travel to Barnsley on Saturday January 2 for the game at Oakwell and the match carries a 3pm kick off.
Referee: James Adcock
Linesmen: Paul Hodskinson and Matthew Dicicco
Fourth Official: Matthew McGrath
Match Day referee Adcock (Nottinghamshire) has officiated one Millwall game this season – the three one victory over Rochdale in September. In that game he showed three yellow cards, one to Millwall.
He has however already taken in sixteen other matches so far in 2015-16 and in those games, across all competitions and football divisions, he has handed out a total of 40 yellow cards and zero red cards.
He was most card happy in the match between Gillingham and Oldham on October 3 with a total of four yellows being shown. Four has been a lucky number for him in games against Leeds and Ipswich in September, Bury and Fleetwood in August and the opening day of the campaign between Sheffield Wednesday and Bristol City.
Let`s hope it`s not another repeat and more of our players edge closer to automatic bans.
