Striker John Marquis has today signed a three month loan deal with League Two side Leyton Orient.
The 23 year old moves to them on a maximum 93 day emergency loan deal, and having signed a new contract with us earlier this year, he has struggled for game time so far under manager Neil Harris, making only six appearances.
The spell should hopefully get him some good game time and he’ll return full of confidence and in good form in front of the net.
He will again team up with former Millwall skipper Alan Dunne and could make his debut for them tomorrow in their game against Crawley Town.
Speaking to the official site about the deal, Harris explained.
‘John is a true professional and has an outstanding attitude both in training and matches. I have always enjoyed a really positive and honest relationship with him and felt that going out to get some regular minutes under his belt would be good for John’s career. He is of an age where he needs to be playing and I hope he can go to Orient, work his way into the team and score plenty of goals.’
