It’s been reported in the press that Cardiff City have made two separate bids for left back Scott Malone, and Millwall have presumably accepted the second offer as we have now confirmed we have given the player permission to talk terms with them.
The press speculate that the second offer is in the region of £100,000 for the 23 year old.
The statement carried on the official site reads.
‘Millwall can confirm that Scott Malone has been given permission to talk to Cardiff City about a permanent transfer. The left back will discuss personal terms and undergo a medical over the coming days.’
Malone came to us from Bournemouth back in the summer of 2012, and has made 65 starting appearances for us, with a further six appearances from the bench. He has also found the net on five occasions.
His last appearance for us came in the two nil defeat by Bournemouth in the final fixture of 2014.
