Manager Steve Lomas has said that he’s definitely not under any illusions when it comes to how hard a game the match against Sean Dyche’s Burnley side will be this weekend.

We host the table toppers on 3pm at The Den and whilst Millwall have a good home record at the moment – seven points from nine – and we can boast wins against Blackpool and Leeds United along with a draw against QPR, Burnley are on a fantastic run of form themselves so we will have to be at our best in order to get a positive result.

Speaking to the official site ahead of the game, Lomas said all we needed to know about the task that Burnley would provide was in knowing they have only lost once so far this season.

The gaffer said that he’d been very impressed with their start to the season, saying they had been ‘excellent’ and he suspects that they have surprised a lot of people with their organisation so it’s all credit to our former player for his management skills.

‘They have got a system that works, and works well, but we have bounced back after two pretty poor results and our players have responded. The challenge for the lads is to make the good point we took at Reading last week into a great point by winning against the team who are top of the shop.’

Now that will certainly be a big ask, and I doubt anyone wouldn’t mind the point to keep our unbeaten run going, but if we click and perform as we know we are capable of doing, then there’s no reason we can’t sneak the win.
