Millwall’s League 1 season continued with a win against Shrewsbury at the Den on
A play-off place (at least) is looking pretty good for Millwall now following a three-one win over struggling Shrewsbury.
Larnell Cole had fired past Jordan Archer with just five-minutes played to give Shrewsbury the lead, which they took into half time.
Goals either side of the hour turned the game around though with Ben Thompson’s volleying in from 25-yards to bring Millwall level before Steven Morison headed home four-minutes later to have the Lions ahead.
Shrewsbury ‘keeper Mark Halstead was sent off in the last minute for a foul that gave Millwall a penalty, which was scored by Lee Gregory to secure the three-points to make it six-matches unbeaten at home to move us up to fourth with the gap to second now seven-points as is the gap between the Lions and Barnsley in seventh (outside the play-offs.

Colchester (one-nil) may yet pull off a remarkable relegation escape with a win at Blackpool to give them a little more hope of staying up with Pools remaining very much in the battle to stay in League 1 with Oldham’s (one-nil) bid to stay up also helped beating Walsall.
Bradford (one-nil) and Millwall (three-one) winning at home against Swindon and Shrewsbury, respectively, are looking as though play-off places are now secured with Wigan (one-nil) moving closer to winning the title with a win over Coventry to move away from Burton (one-nil) who were beaten at Scunthorpe.
