Millwall’s League 1 season play-off semi-final first leg ended a win against Bradford at Valley Parade on Sunday.
Recovering quickly from falling behind was probably the key to Millwall’s win at Bradford.
The deficit lasted just two-minutes before the Lions hit back to run out three-one winners in the end and will therefore go into the second leg in a strong position.
Joe Martin’s handball gave Bradford an early chance to take the lead from the penalty spot, which Tony McMahon took to have the Bantams ahead on 13-minutes.
Lee Gregory, an injury doubt ahead of the match, had Millwall level minutes later when scoring his 26th-goal of the season with Steve Morison’s header then having the Lions ahead on 34-minutes.
On the stroke of half time Joe Martin made amends for the penalty he conceded by firing home a freekick to leave Millwall three-up at half time, with that how the match ended up leaving us in charge ahead of the second leg on Friday at the Den.
