Speaking ahead of last night’s FA Cup fourth round reply between Leicester City and Derby County, Millwall defender Jake Cooper admitted he didn’t care who we faced in the fifth round tie.

With Millwall eyes watching on yesterday evening as we discovered it would be Leicester City that we met at The Den in round five of the competition, Cooper said it didn’t really matter in reality because with home advantage it gave us the ‘upper hand’ and the team would fancy themselves against anybody on home soil.

With it being the reigning Premier League Champions who ultimately won out last night in the BBC live game, Cooper told the official site.

‘We fancy ourselves against anyone at home. Both games will be difficult and both will pose different problems for us, but we have been in good form at home lately. Millwall have had a good Cup run already, beating two Premier League opponents and I think that will stand us in good stead when we try to cause another upset. I will keep an eye on the match between Derby and Leicester because I’m eager to know who our opponents will be, but our main focus has to be on Southend this weekend and climbing up the League table.’

Having mentioned Southend United this weekend, it really is all eyes to that game before even thinking about another FA Cup upset, but with Cooper playing his part in victory over Coventry City last weekend – scoring is first goal for the club following his loan arrival from Reading in the January window – he was confident of another victory and he also spoke about how he was enjoying his time at the club so far.

‘I have really enjoyed myself over the last few weeks. It’s a good feeling to get that first goal and I just want to keep contributing. We have to make the most of this few days off because the games will start coming thick and fast again. This period is about recovering and preparing to continue our push up the table.’
