With most playing 44 League One games in the 2016/17 season, this year could still see a few players break the 20 goal mark.
With goalscoring so far this season, the Golden Boot race is pretty much a three player race with Billy Sharp (Sheffield United), James Vaughan (Bury) and Josh Morris (Scunthorpe United) best placed to take the recognition this season.
Sitting on 16 and fewer, the likes of Simon Cox (Southend United), Matty Taylor (Bristol Rovers) and Lee Gregory (Millwall) and Ian Henderson (Rochdale) can’t be ruled out though in a run for the top three, but the ball is certainly in the hands of Sharp and then Vaughan at the moment.
Those with 14 goals and fewer can now be discounted.
So limited to those with twelve or more strikes so far this campaign, here’s how the table currently sits.
