Simeon Jackson joined Millwall so late on deadline day that the deadline had in fact slammed shut, but as he was a free agent he is capable of completing his full paperwork with the club on Monday and figuring for us until the end of the season.

Personal terms were agreed with the player yesterday, following the 26 year old being released from his contract at German club Eintracht Braunschweig, and he’s set to agree a short term deal that will see him through until the summer where everybody will reassess things.

Jackson started life at Rushden and Diamonds, where he scored 42 goals in 120 appearances, before earning a move to Gillingham in January 2008. In 115 games for the, he scored a further 42 times.

He then moved on to Norwich in the summer of 2010 and scored 21 times for them before he was released last summer.

His options in Germany had become limited and he played for them only nine times.
