Manager Ian Holloway has brought in Ipswich Town winger Carlos Edwards ahead of the loan deadline earlier tonight.

The 35 year old former Wolverhampton Wanderers and Sunderland player moved to Portman Road for £1.35million back in 2009 and has scored nine goals in over 180 appearances for them since.

He will be an experienced option for us on the right flank as we look to move away from the drop zone this season.

The player himself told the official site about the move that he felt he needed to be playing regularly at this stage of his career, and he hasn’t played for Ipswich since January.

‘I know they are in a relegation fight just now and I’m looking forward to playing my part in helping them in their battle to stay in the Championship.’
