Manager Ian Holloway has called on the players to stick together on Boxing Day and earn a positive result away from home at Carrow Road.

Speaking to the official site in his pre game press conference, the manager explained.

‘I believe we can beat anybody on our day. We have got to make sure those days come a little bit more often. The team will be ready and prepared. We will deal with going up to Norwich on Christmas Day and let’s hope we can get the right result – I believe we can.’

Holloway says that it’s a hectic schedule with two games in such quick succession but he’s relishing that challenge and he knows the players are as well, and of course it’s a fantastic opportunity for six points in a short space of time.

‘We’ve got 24 tough games to go and I’m looking forward to every one of them. What we need to do is stick together. We have earned the right to be in the Championship and we want to stay here. It’s about where we are going and what we are building.’

Holloway says that apart from the Middlesbrough game it’s been ‘close and tight’ in every match and one bit of luck here or there would have seen us with more points on the board already, so that’s what we have to aim to do in the second half of the season now.
