Manager Ian Holloway has reacted to the FA Cup fourth round draw that has pitted us against Chelsea, and said nobody will be thinking that far ahead as still have to book our place properly in the competition by winning the third round replay against Bradford City.

Speaking to the official site knowing that victory in the replay would see us visit Stamford Bridge, the gaffer said.

‘From my point of view we have a big job to do. We’ve not thinking of Chelsea and, at the moment, our only focus is on Blackpool because Saturday’s match is a huge one in the League for us. We have got to go there and get a result. Once the Bradford replay does come around there is, of course, an added incentive knowing that Chelsea await in the fourth round. It doesn’t get much better than travelling away to the club who are top of the Premier League and our fans deserve to watch their team in a game like that.’

Holloway went on to say that the replay will another difficult game for us because we know how hard they battled in the first clash and how hard we had to work, and they too will be lifted by knowing the potential fourth round opponents.

‘Bradford have shown great Cup pedigree in recent seasons and they will be up for it, so it will be down to the players to show how much they want to progress to the next Round. But it is important that we stick to task and keep our targets in mind. We will only every take each game as it comes because if you have your eye on something in the future then you can easily fail in the present.’

The replay has already been confirmed for Wednesday January 14, with a 7.45pm kick off.
