Manager Ian Holloway has said that he already knows the areas of the team that he wants to strengthen when the January transfer window opens.

Following the welcome boost of victory over Brighton and Hove Albion last Friday, Ollie said he was now looking for another positive result against Bolton Wanderers but with January nearing he also has one eye on the window and strengthening the side again.

Speaking to the official site Holloway confirmed that with a number of players out of contract over the summer, he had already made some tough and important decisions.

‘I’ve looked at the players and I’ve made some decisions for next year. I’ve also made some decisions on what we’re going to do and how we are going to try and change things in January if we possibly can. We have got to look at where we are going to go and how we are going to do it.’

Holloway goes on to say he feels he’s tinkered with the team enough now to have made his choices, as he’s ‘put people in and brought them out’ and he’s also made his mind up on the youngsters in terms of who he wants to keep, as he’ll be trying to get them out on loan for more experience as they aren’t ready yet, but he feels they might be next season.

‘I’m really excited about some of them.’

The gaffer adds that this time last year he felt Millwall were a little vulnerable given we had seven or so out of contract, but this time we have 24 out of contract in the summer so he just has to try and deal with it.

‘I know the areas I want to strengthen and we have got to try and get the club right to be able to do that. If we haven’t got a market from the Championship or the Premier League, then what are we going to do? The whole thing is about building and taking the chairman to where he wants to go eventually. This is what we have got to try and do.’
